Hey there, nutty readers. Sorry for the gap in posting. I couldn't even tell you what I've been doing that's kept me from it... let's just chalk it up to misplaced priorities. You may have noticed that I did add a FriendFeed box on the right side of the page. FriendFeed enables you to aggregate a bunch of rss-type feeds from a variety of content sources into one tidy page. You can feed your friends content from other sites like Blogger, Picasa, YouTube, Twitter, etc., etc.
The other new online development for me is that I'm now an occasional contributor to I'm Heavy Duty. Those contributions will be mostly about music, like this one about Jonathan Coulton, and this one about Mike Doughty. I've been a fan of Tracy's work for a long time, and I'm honored that he considers me heavy duty enough to write for his site.
I'll leave you today with few other links that I've been saving up on my desktop:
Pulpbard My buddy Mark (paprika_bambaataa) is contributing to this funny translation of Pulp Fiction into Elizabethan iambic pentameter, a la Big Bad Billy Shakespeare. My favorite scenes are the "Royale with Cheese" dialog 2.2 and the "What does Marcellus Wallace look like?" dialog 8.2.
Tastespotting A beautiful food site, sponsored by HP. You can find all sorts of recipes there, and the pictures will make your mouth water. If anyone is thinking of baking me a cake, this Almond Joy Bundt Cake sounds crazy delicious. For breakfast, perhaps some Coconut Macaroon Pancakes.
Sushi Monster Speaking of food, if you're ever in Silicon Valley, this is a great listing of sushi bars. The reviews are consistent with my experience at the ones that I've visited, and the list is pretty thorough.
Bembo's Zoo A very creative Shockwave presentation of animals created from characters in the Bembo typeface. I particularly like the dragon and the unicorn, but I've always been partial to imaginary creatures.
Now you know your ABC's, next time won't you sing with me?
