Totally Tubular YouTubular, that is. It's amazing what you can find over at youtube.com. Here are a few humorous tidbits:
Chester! I was pleased to find so much Sifl & Olly goodness on YouTube. For those who aren't familiar with Sifl & Olly, it's a rockin' sock puppet extravaganza created by Liam Lynch and Matt Crocco. The original series aired on MTV, but somehow the episodes aren't available on DVD. Thank you, YouTube. You can also see Sifl & Olly in guest appearances on Liam Lynch's "LynchLand" video podcast. That podcast also features a lot of talk about Tenacious D since Lynch was the director for their new movie. Back to MTV, how much do they suck at managing their back catalog? Beavis and Butthead DVDs don't even have the videos in them, which was the funniest part of the show. Oh, and speaking old MTV content....
Barry and Levon Awww, yeah... This is my favorite skit from "The State," a sketch comedy show that aired on MTV in the mid-90s. They had the $240, they *had* to have the pudding. First they cook, and then they chill.
Astronaut Jones Rounding out our YouTube adventure, here's Tracy Morgan's best SNL skit. Morgan is enjoying a revival as one of the co-stars of NBC's 30Rock, alongside Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.
Any nuts out there have more YouTube recs? Always Be Closing.
