Putting the lame back in "Lame Duck"

It appears that yesterday's cynical post might have been unfounded. Major news outlets are reporting that Jim Webb has defeated George Allen in the race for senator in Virginia (big ups to my people in NOVA). Of course, there is the prospect of a recount, but it looks like Webb might just carry the day.

If Webb does indeed prevail, that would make 51 Democratic senators. Combined with the Democrats' victory in the House, Dubya and co. should have a much harder time pursuing their questionable agenda.

Speaking of questionable agendas, Rummy finally quit. Ding Dong!

I also hope that the new congress can do better than the last congress.

Don't worry, we'll get back to random fun links soon.

Cheers! Peace.
