Declaration of Independence from Fossil Fuels
An interesting petition, not that it will make any difference with the current administration (especially since it seems to have garnered fewer than 1000 signatures in five years). Curious to me was the inclusion of the phrase, "under God." Isn't that phrase already troublesome enough in the Pledge of Allegiance?
This specific petition aside, the issue is not about reducing what we're paying at the pump, but rather creating a smart energy policy. Of course, with the current system of lobbyism, we have a snowball's chance of seeing real change.
Where is Mr. Smith when you need him?
To celebrate the Fourth, Max and I watched the fireworks at Stanford last night, and watched "America Rocks" just like last year. And the year before that, and the year before that.
