Huge backlog of nuttiness. It'll take several posts to work through all of it, which at my current publishing rate means that I should have the current crop online by the end of 2006. Hurm... maybe I'll have to write more often.

To get the ball rolling, here is the complete, unedited text of an email that I got from Reverend Paul after my posting on the Top 5 movies of 2004. The post pretty much speaks for itself, and rather than keep all of these nutty movie recommendations to myself, I asked the good reverend if I could post his rant, er, recommendations for the tens of dozens of faithful GoNutty.com readers. Without further ado....

Ok. Maybe I sound like an asshole...but you need an edjamutatin.

Short list/see these movies if you can if you haven't already.

Taste has nothing to do with it. Some, I'm almost certain you will like.
While you may not like the others, I still think some of these are pretty
important films.

A few you asked for ...(reminds me of a funny Onion headline...African
American Neighborhood Terrorized by Ask Murderer)

Ahhh..this is why Netflix is so good:

Buffalo '66
Hedwig & the Angry Inch (if your not hooked after the first 1/2 hour don't bother)
Team America World Police
Audition (Japanese)
The Quick and the Dead (1985 you must have seen this)
Seven Samurai (you must have seen this)
The Thing (1982 you must have seen this)
Happiness (Aren't you gonna' finish that sandwich Keith?)
Dogville (Some say this was the WORST film of 2004..I liked it.)
Lumiere Brothers First Films (1896 AMAZING!)
Irreversible (I like and hate this movie)

Careful, as the following movies are incredibly good..you should rent them
unquestionably if you haven't seen them yet:

The Wages of Fear
The Grand Illusion
Paper Moon
Little Big Man
the Man Who Would Be King
Seven Samurai

I assume you've seen Requiem for a Dream and Raging Bull, and many others. Just went on a Preston Sturges binge, and I quite enjoyed it.

Now that's quite a list. Thanks, Pablo!
