As most of you probably know already, Johnny Cash died last week. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said by a million other folks, but I do want to recognize his passing. His ability to reach an incredibly broad range of fans while still maintaining incredible integrity was truly awe-inspiring. In time, that integrity only served to further his appeal, and we can be thankful that we were lucky enough to have had Johnny's company here on Earth for as long as did. We're also lucky that his work serves as an excellent memorial. Personally, I've been listening to American IV and At Folsom Prison a lot. I find it fitting that he closed his last album with a cover of an old tune called We'll Meet Again:
We'll meet again.
Don't know where, don't know when.
But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day.
I hope so, Johnny. I hope so.
