To celebrate Independence Day, the missus, Max and I watched America Rock. Kerah and I both have good memories of watching Schoolhouse Rock! as kids, and we're passing that along to Max. This is the first time that the boy has seen the videos, but he's heard the tunes from listening to Schoolhouse Rock! Rocks.
It doesn't seem like a year has passed since the last 4th, though so much has happened. Google, as usual, has a cool logo to celebrate the holiday (good job, Dennis), but this year I'm not too wrung up about political issues like I was last year. (Unless you count my Flag Day rant.) Of course, with the current crop of jokers in DC, I'm sure I'll have another reason soon enough. In the meantime, I'll just re-read the Declaration of Independence, and raise a glass to those early politicians who actually knew what they were doing.
